When we create something unique like our dB humbuckers, we often discuss what we learned and apply ideas to other products. Our sB pickups take one side of our dB humbucker and fit the coil into a Jaguar style pickup route as a drop-in replacement. Thick and powerful are the best ways to describe these single coil pickups when compared to the originals. You’ll notice a stronger sustain and bloom to the note’s attack with a more vocal fundamental lower midrange reminiscent of a smooth PAF tone rather than the usual glassy bright and scooped sound of a normal F style single coil pickup. The sB Jaguar set is available as a neck and bridge position.

I waited quite a while to get my hands on these pickups after seeing the first couple prototype videos. The wait was absolutely worth it. They’re everything you could want out of a Jaguar pickup. They get really mean with 500k pots (or 1megs) and a decent amount of gain, but don’t sound shrill or weak under any conditions I tried. They were easy to install, seemed to hold up to Lollar’s quality name and reputation, and look fantastic. I anticipate these pickups will become a staple in the Fender offset community. If you have more than one Jaguar, you absolutely need to have these in at least one of them.
