Help Save Live Music!

Here at Lollar, the only thing we love more than the music made with our products are the people making that music. In the eight or so months that we as concertgoers have longed for the thrill when the lights go down as the band takes the stage, the roar of the crowd singing along, and the excitement and energy of over 100 decibels of raw passion hitting us; countless others who work in the music industry - from stagehands to musicians - have gone without paycheck and many can't even pay rent.

If you're like us, you can't wait to see life go back to normal, including live music. But the show can't go on if there's nowhere for it to happen. With a total freeze to ticket sales, venues still have overhead costs like rent and other operating expenses. While artists and crew all rely on ticket sales to make ends meet, they rely foremost on venues to host live events to even have tickets to sell. The ripple effect of live entertainment's current hiatus goes far beyond just quality of life, having an even greater impact on the very livelihood of those in the industry and beyond - accounting for a $50B share of the economy. As venues continue to see their bills stack up without income to cover them, 90% face the difficult choice between continuing to lose money indefinitely or cutting their losses and turning the lights off for good. If we want to have live events to return to, we need to come together to ensure that we don't let venues become ghost towns.

That's why we're investing in the future of live music, here's how: Rather than offer Black Friday deals, this year we'll donate a portion of sales for the entire weekend of Nov. 27-30 to the National Independent Venue Association Fund @nivassoc and Keep Music Live Washington @keepmusiclivewa. Both funds are set up specifically to combat the hardship that the shutdown has put on the industry. We'll also be making our own contribution along with the donation from sales, and we encourage you to do the same. In fact, even if you aren't in the market for new pickups, you can still head to these organizations' websites and make a personal donation.
